Treasure Hunting...

Ben and I took some time today to follow up on some genealogy research that my sister Sylvia did before she died. We drove up to the little town of Mount Morris where my mom's family settled when they came over from Norway. The whole area feels a little Scandinavian...beautiful forested hills and deep lakes. We had a great time talking to the locals and getting information on family members, especially at the little church my family helped to found. (Although there are some lingering legends about how glad the pastors were when a few of my relatives finally made it through confirmation classes!) Some of them even went on the join the ministry themselves!
