Ben is 21!

We are celebrating the birth and life of our beautiful young son...there were many who didn't give him a chance of reaching this birthday.  We have learned much from him and we have been challenged and blessed beyond our limits with him!

Thanks to all of you who love and support him as well!

Dentist and doughnuts

What better way is there to celebrate a perfect dentist visit than with a doughnut?  After a good report with Dr. Tim yesterday,we stopped at the newly opened Krispy Kreme, had a treat for ourselves and made a quick delivery to a friend on the way back to school.  What a great start to the day!

Saddle and Sirloin Club

Twice each week I cross campus to teach my Intro to Kinesiology course in the Animal Science building (because we don't have a big enough classroom in the Natatorium).  As I wait for the class before ours to end, I see this.  It has always cracked me up...I mean, come on...the combination of saddles and sirloins do not seem like a good one to me.  But obviously, this combination has a historic and meaningful history at UW.  So let's all celebrate!

Water, water...

I love driving home over the Sugar River watershed.  There are always lots of birds and it's fascinating to watch the water levels ebb and flow with the weather.  Today was definitely a flow day!

The lake is still frozen, but just barely.  It still offers a wonderful view!

It's warm enough for most of the snow to melt off my favorite hiking spot, so I headed up there today...here are a few shots...
