Thursday Fun!

I spent my free night this Thursday enjoying the snow and then doing some reading at our great library.  They even have a castle!  I love Thursday nights!

The tree! (again...)

Okay, so it took us two days to get this things dressed up, but maybe it didn't even need any dressing.  It's a great tree and now it has a few ornaments too...

Our cat is nuts...

As we were decorating for Christmas, we had this little decorative element sitting on the floor.  As you can see, our cat has fallen in love with it...he is so weird (but we sure love him)!

We feel so lucky to live where we do...one of the many benefits is that to get our Christmas tree all we have to do is to go down the street to the neighbors house.  There we find a field full of beautiful trees, a saw, an empty can for our money, and cookies to nourish us in the process!

Happy Birthday Chris!

When your birthday is the day after Thanksgiving it sometimes gets lost in the shuffle.  Kristin made sure that didn't happen this year for Chris.  She designed a scavenger hunt that took Chris all around town to collect gifts at a number of locations.  All he had to do was figure out clues and go into businesses and recite his name!  Here he is with one of his gifts!

We didn't have very good planning skills because we began a puzzle last night on the very table on which we wanted to serve dinner today...dumb...so anyway, we had to make a move.

But we did make the adjustment, had a wonderful dinner, and then got back to it afterward!
