Debbie visit-Day Two

Day two with Debbie started with a morning walk along the river...

 Then off to Virginia beach with Kristin and Mike...

 we found treasures...

 Romped through the dunes...

 Enjoyed a fun lunch...

And topped it off with a hot donut from Krispy Kremes...yum...

We had a safe and uneventful trip (yay!) and enjoyed Williamsburg while we waited for Debbie to finish work.

 Then to a super fun restaurant for dinner where Gus served us an unbelievable feast!

50 in January!

So what do we do when the temps hit 50 in January?  Head to Devils Lake!!

Thwarted adventure (or at least an altered one...)

Kristin, Mike and I set out on an adventure last night.  We decided as we drove to try our hand at laser tag!  (a mature and conservative choice...) 

So we went and checked in, played a few games while we were waiting...

and were just about to go into the game when this is what burst in the door...

(at least that's what the large group of rowdy teenagers looked like to us!)

So we decided to go shopping for some fun crafts,

have a bit of ice cream, and go home to then make crafts while we watched a movie...

 On my way to a favorite hike the other day I realized I was passing the place of my birth.  Funny, it seemed a lot smaller than I remember!

Weird, but beautiful winter
