Last days...

We finished our time with the Johnson's by spending a day snuggling and skiing at their cabin, experiencing a historical local soda fountain and just, plain enjoying our dear friends!

Today we heard Andrew play his violin at a nursing home, took a great walk in the woods, played cards and Rosie taught me how to make great bread!

In Salt Lake City

Kristin and I left the warmth and sun of southern Utah to brave an incoming snow storm so we can see our dear friends the Johnson's. Today Paul and Caitlyn; tomorrow Rosie and Becca; Saturday, the rest of the gang!

We also explored Salt Lake a bit today:

The conference center
Gilgal memorial park-stone sculptures made by a slightly crazy man
Allen park- a strange little village of cottages surrounding a scary aviary
The antique mall
AND the aquarium!

Then to the hotel to wait out the storm...

Amazing day!

Today was filled with many beautiful sites:

Snow Valley state park, Mountain Meadows monument and Zion National park ( with the friendliest deer in the world!)

Kolob

Always the adventurer, Kristin decided to take us the courageous way into The Kolob section of Zion. Note the snow covered road!

But we made it and enjoyed the beautiful results!
