Great memories!

I've been trying to transfer old (old!) videos from VHS to DVD and came across a few real gems.  Here's one I thought many would enjoy...we sure do!

Bread!

I don't know why...maybe it's the cold weather...but I had a desire to make bread today.  Something I haven't successfully done since my days in Pennsylvania.  So, with the help of a new recipe and a warm wood stove, I produced a couple of loaves that don't taste half bad!  C'mon over!

This is getting ridiculous!

I would love to overhear the passage of news through the animal kingdom in our neighborhood because it's obvious that the word of Frank's generous feeding trough is spreading.

Back to school :(

On the way to take Kristin back to school we took our time and had some fun popcorn stops, the Mighty Mississippi, LaCrosse, and dinner with Bobbie! It all made saying goodbye a bit easier.

If the young people in my life are any indication of the future of our country, we are in great shape! I had a night out with 3 of them tonight and they are thoughtful, bright, and fun.

We are back home, but while we were gone Frank religiously continued to feed the locals and the word of his bounty has continued to spread.

Another beautiful day in Virginia...

Starting with a walk...

Then a visit to the settlement at Jamestown...

A ride on a ferry, where we made it back inside the car (just before being bombed by some local birds!)

Dinner at Pierce's BBQ and a car ride...

 A movie...and home...whew!

Today started off with another great walk...today at Waller Mills park...beautiful!

 Then off to another great history lesson...today at Jamestown...

Where it was a bit chilly, so we suited up...

 Off to dinner at "Aw...Shuck"s, a fun seafood restaurant...

And then finished the dinner off with a build your own sundae site!

Day two with Debbie started with a morning walk along the river...

 Then off to Virginia beach with Kristin and Mike...

 we found treasures...

 Romped through the dunes...

 Enjoyed a fun lunch...

And topped it off with a hot donut from Krispy Kremes...yum...
