Fun filled easter!

After a wonderful church service Kristin and I were so inspired by the message of new life that we snagged a couple of great kids from church, added two more from the neighborhood and headed down to the pond to check out the new life there.

Wyndham and Kristin each caught a frog and we all witnessed this giant turtle!

Then back home to join Frank in playing with some of the toys from his Easter basket.

What a great day!

Naturally dyed Easter eggs!

Wendy shared some of her Polish Easter heritage with us this year and we learned how to dye eggs using natural materials.  Our first attempt was with onions...we like the results...what do you think?

Patient Spring

Have you ever seen a tree more ready to just burst?  This year's Spring is being held off a bit, but is it ever going to go crazy when the gates of warm weather are opened!

Spinny Chair

After school each day, Kristin and I scour the parking lot and streets for Elyse.  Some days we get lucky and catch her on her way home.  On those days we screech up next to her, force her into our car and take her off for an adventure.

Today she only gave us 10 minutes, so we headed for the spinny chair at the park...

California!

Kristin and I had a blast in California!  The first day we drove south of LA and the second we drove north.  Beautiful both ways!  What a treat to have this special time with my college-bound daughter!

Kristin's last state!

Frank's generous heart outdid itself last week when he decided that Kristin should benefit from his many accumulated hotels points and go to California for a long weekend.  California is the last of the 48 continental US states in which Kristin needed to spend some time in order to have been in all of them.  It's been a bcket list (pretty weird for an 18 year old) items for her for some time.  So anyway, here we are...a few pics from the journey so far...lots more to come...

100 years of Physical Education at UW-Madison

It was a hopping time at the Union last night as we began the weekend long celebration of 100 years of PE at UW-Madison!  We had a wonderful dinner at which we honored alumni, current faculty and students. I really feel so lucky to do the work that I do...
