Camp Scrap-a-lot

Last weekend I was invited to provide food and clean-up service at a scrapbooking weekend for my friend Jane (here she is with her dad).  I set up and cleaned up meals for the participants.

In between meals, I did some skiing at area sites...beautiful!

On my way up to my little retreat, I stopped at the Wild Rose fish hatchery.  I remember Bob and Lena taking us there when we were kids.  It's still just as cool!

Today's visitor

Sue's new friend Maggie is extending the time she can ride in the car, so today, she and Sue came over for a visit.  We had a nice walk, some yummy treats, and I'm guessing she slept all the way home!

Lots of people are struggling against Scott Walker's recently proposed bill...including these two beauties!  As you can plainly see, though, she ascribes to the mantra of passive resistance...

Perfect snow!

This winter has been a terrific one for skiing, and today was no different...

Packers Rock!

As you can see, it is extremely hard work helping your team to win a super bowl, but we did it!  Yea Packers!!!

River Falls visit!

Colton, Ben, Kristin and I got up early this morning for a road trip to visit UW-River Falls!  We dropped Ben off for a little snooze time with Aunt Bobbie in Eau Claire and continued on up the road to our destination.

The student center-okay this picture is not from today, but isn't it cool?  The campus is great, the people were so welcoming and the programs are wonderful!

Then we checked out the community...the local coop, the "Grateful Bread" bakery...what a great town!

Then back to pick up Ben, thank Bobbie (so much!) and home to meet Frank just as he came home from his football clinic...what a great day!

This is one amazing storm!  16" of snow and 40 mph winds...I'm not one to focus much on weather, but wow!
