Day Four!

What a beautiful day...sunny and 50 degrees...I hit the beach early this morning for a quick walk.



Then Debbie treated us to a wonderful time at the Virginia Beach Aquarium...

















It had a cool nature walk...



an IMAX theatre...



We finished off the night with PF Changs, the Cheesecake Factory and then a movie at Debbies...what a terrific day!

Day Three in VA!!

A blustery day here today, but we still braved the beaches!











Then some obligatory shopping and great conversation...

Day Two in Va!!!

Another great day today...a nice early morning walk in a local park...



then off to a walk on the beach in Virgina beach...





and then bringing dinner home from Maggie and Rays. Tonight, dinner and a movie...

Day One in VA!!!

We are here with Debbie...I got to take a walk this morning and the river is beautiful.



Kristin played on the toys at Debbie's fitness center.



Then we helped Debbie do a little work and she even let us ride in her golf cart!





And maybe because we helped her work...I don't know...but she took us to the coolest bar-b-que place in the south for lunch!



Now it's back home to watch a movie and kick back. What a life...

It starts...

Teachers in Southwest Wisconsin are engaged in the annual midwinter break entitled SWEIO...a fancy teacher acronym which means..."these kids are driving me nuts! I need a break!"

Kristin and I are celebrating by heading south to Virginia...home of "Debbie, the fun one!" We had a safe, nutritiously sound, (ha!) trip down and even saw a sedge-way at the airport!






But the better part is the constant six-hour conversation about life, love and the true meaning of faith that I got to have with my daughter...I love this kid!

Amazing...

Okay, I know Kristin is right and you will never be able to see this, but we saw the coolest thing this morning on the way to school. What we thought at first was a sun dog was actually a full rainbow around the sun! It was so great...hope you can see some of it...but if not...just imagine how cool it was!

A visit from Tom and Jean

Tom and Jean had a wedding to attend in town this weekend, so we got to serve as their hotel! It was great to spend time with them talking, eating and playing apples to apples. Here are Tom and Jean in the Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes! They sure shine up nice!



Kati and Kristin's friend Nik joined us Sunday and we all had a terrific lunch at her new place of work Sprechers!
