The lake...

Tae extended a business trip to Chicago by a few days and visited Sheboygan! Even though he was in great demand by the Berg family, we snagged him for a few hours on Saturday and had a ball! We enjoyed a fish fry, Johnston's bakery, the lake,

frozen custard, the art center and wonderful conversation! It was so fun to see him as the mature young man that he has come to be!

My funny daughter

After church the other day Kristin and I decided to do some serious reading (for free) at Barnes and Noble. Please note her deep and serious nature as she first, climbed over the mezzanine railing to throw away some paper,

and second, read a deeply thought-provoking work with incredible seriousness.

I love my kid!

Adventure...

How fitting that as I leave these beautiful mountains that God gives me this kind of send off...I am interpreting it as an invitation to visit again soon...

Adventure!

Frank is handling the kids for me this weekend so that I can take my January retreat. I am on the road in search of adventures (and trying to get far enough south that the thermometer doesn't read below zero!)

First stop Shabbonna state park...

Badger-USA Hockey

How cool is it that I get to know people who call me and say "Hey! Do you want to go to the Badger-USA women's hockey game? Just like that! Do you want to see one of the premiere college teams play the possible Olympic gold medal team? Wow! But the best thing of all was to see my favorite Canadian on the sideline coaching these college players. Just think, a few years ago, this was the same person whose students were setting off fire alarms with a medicine ball during her student teaching experience. You've come a long way Jackie! Thanks so much for the tickets!
